What is hemp?

Hemp is a part of the cannabis sativa family, and has been sought out for its seed and fiber production. However, new research has found that cannabinoids, such as cannabidiol (CBD), has offered many promising impacts on pet health.

Hemp produces trichomes, which are a resin-like substance where CBD is produced and stored. Just like plants produce cannabinoids, pets also produce their own cannabinoids. Cannabinoids in pets help to regulate natural occurring systems in their bodies. When their bodies are not functioning properly the cannabinoid system may not be functioning properly and can lead to problems. Pet’s cannabinoid system can be supported by introducing plants cannabinoids, such as CBD, to help support our natural cannabinoid system with cannabinoids produced from plants.
